The aroma of coffee attracts roaches and some experts claim that the caffeine in coffee can kill them. To make this bait, you will need a few jars, coffee grinds, water and small cups. Fill the jars halfway with water. Inside the small cups, put wet coffee grinds. Place such cups into all the jars, and then place the jars in roaches-nesting areas. Once cockroaches enter the jars, they should not be able to escape. Clear the jar along with the water every two to three days, or every time the jar traps a number of cockroaches. Later, refill the jar with some water, add more coffee grinds to the cups and repeat the process until you see no more cockroaches in the jars.

Well , in short , the only and most effective way to get rid of roaches and keep them away from your home is to be CLEAN . Be clean in everything in your life and you will never see a roach in your place. If you have roaches at home it means you are not clean ! That’s it.

It’s a myth that roaches are only found in filthy places (though unkempt areas can provide easy food sources/hiding places). They can be found in even spotless homes under certain circumstances: a nearby infestation, especially one that has been disturbed (a building tear-down, new neighbors or neighbors move leaving no food source, causing migration of pests to nearby dwellings); they can also hitch a ride in many ways: in home delivery packages, items from the grocery store, gym bags, your own purse/backpack that was set down in the wrong place near a roach and many other ways. I’ve heard that borax or baking soda & powdered sugar really works.
