1. Cloves 

Cloves are rich in eugenol, which serves as a natural anesthetic that has a numbing action.

Use one piece of clove and place it on the affected tooth. Keep biting it and suckling on it for as long as you can. This shall aid the toothache. You can also directly apply a drop of clove oil in order to get an instant relief from toothache.

2. Pepper and Salt as  Home remedies for toothache

Salt and black pepper have propertiies that are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and also analgesic. Take equal amounts of black pepper and salt and add some water to it, to make a paste. Apply this paste directly onto the affected tooth and gum area to get rid of the pain.

3. Salt Water

Take about a teaspoon full of salt and mix it in warm water. Squish this water in and around your mouth for quick relief.

4. Peppermint Tea Bag as Home remedies for toothache

Peppermint tea bags have a numbing property, similar to cloves.

Dip a peppermint tea bag in hot water and let it soak up for a minute. Then Take the tea bag out and let it cool. While the tea bag cools, take a mouthful of the warm tea and swish it around in your mouth.

As for the tea bag, once cooled, directly place it on the affected tooth and let it stay there for a few minutes. You can also freeze it before you apply it onto your tooth.

Garlic is very popular for its antibiotic and anti bacterial properties.

Peel a clove of garlic and chew on it, specially with the tooth that has been hurting. You can also mince a clove of garlic with some salt and apply the paste onto your tooth for quick relief.

10. Onions as Home remedies for toothache

Onions have anti-septic and anti-microbial properties that can help relieve a toothache.

Take about half of an onion, peel it and grate it. It will probably release some juices. A teaspoon full of this grated onion along with its juices should be wrapped around the tooth that has been hurting. Let it sit on the tooth for as long as you can, and then you can chew on it and swallow.
