Preventive measures for Razor Burns – How to Prevent Razor Burn?

  • Always keep your skin moisturized as a dry skin is more prone to suffer from razor cuts.
  • After you have finished shaving, pat your skin dry instead of rubbing, only with a cotton hand towel to prevent rashes due to the presence synthetic fibers in some hand towels.
  • Use a shaving cream or foam as it softens hair and makes the razor’s job easy.
  • Shaving in the shower also helps, as the steam that develops during bath loosen and softens the skin hair, making it easier for the razor to bring it out.
  • Don’t press the razor too much when you are shaving as great pressure leads to razor burns.
  • At any point in time, if the razor becomes dull or even worse, rusty, toss them into the dustbin immediately.
  • Avoid shaving on a daily basis as it may cause the skin to irritate. For a frequent pattern, shave every alternate day.
